BRISTOL, VA. On Saturday, July 6, 2019, Katie Mode of North Augusta, South Carolina was crowned Miss Cosmos United States 2019.

Mode, 25, is the daughter of Tracy and Susan Mode and sister to Taylor and Abbie. She is super obsessed with her chocolate lab, Jameis and can talk about him for hours. She is a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta and has been doing pageants for over 10 years. In her spare time, she loves watching sports, with football season being her favorite time of the year. She also loves to cook and bake and is always making goodies for her loved ones.

Living a healthy lifestyle is a passion for Mode. She is an avid gym-goer and loves looking for new healthy recipes to make. She also loves to give back to her community and lends a helping hand wherever she can. She is passionate about “Backing the Blue” and her platform Feeding the Fearless. Her platform was inspired by her brother, Taylor, who has been in law enforcement for 7 years. Her goal is to spread appreciation for officers, and make it a nationwide thing.

In addition to her win, Mode won Optional Runway competition.

Mode will now go on to represent the United States at the Miss Cosmos International Pageant in Runaway Bay, Jamaica this October.

3rd runner up: Chelsea Chesser of South Carolina

2nd runner up: Jessica Grace Booker of North Carolina

1st runner up: Ashley Wade of District of Columbia

Melanie Vaughn who represented Georgia won the Optional Talent Competition, while C’yana Denby of Maryland won State Costume.  Miss Congeniality was awarded to Jessica Grace Booker of North Carolina, while Photogenic was awarded to Brooklyn Clemons of West Virginia. People’s Choice was awarded to Chelsea Chesser of South Carolina.
